During Science week Curie class planted cress seeds and bean seeds. We used cotton wool to grow our cress seeds. We learnt that plants need water, sunlight, CO2 and nutrients to grow.
We used jars to grow our bean seeds so that we could see the parts of the plant as it grew and which parts grew first.
We can say and label the parts of a plant.
We also dissected a seed and learnt the parts of a seed and what they do.
We had lots of fun growing our seeds!
During Science week we tried to “grow” a rainbow through chromatography.
We also attempted to “grow” sugar crystals.
We also experimented to find whether all body parts grow as we get older.
Young Leaders activity week. Young leaders is open to anyone aged 14+.
Following a tense competition over the last two weeks the final took place this afternoon. It was a close game with some great baskets. Congratulations to the winners Chris and Liam and a big thanks to Reece for organising.
