Catford Synagogue 1.12.21

Nurture have been learning about Judaism in R.E. In class we have learnt about how and where Judaism was founded. We  learnt and retold the story of God visiting Moses and promising him a son. We then went to visit our local synagogue and met Mr Rose who gave us a tour of the Jewish place of worship and taught us about us all about the different things that we saw including the Torah (Jewish holy script), Ark, yad, tallit and star of David. We had to wear a Kippah on our head as sign of respect. We saw the ten commandments written in Hebrew which is a language used by Jewish people.
