Owens Class Black History Month 2022

In Owens class we learnt about Nana

Kofi Twumasi-Ankrah who was the Queen’s first black equerry.  This meant he was the Queen’s personal assistant.

We learnt that he is a Ghanaian born officer and a veteran of the war in

Afghanistan and Iraq.  We learnt that his job as an equerry is considered to be one of the most important roles in the royal household.

We also learnt that Ghana is a country in West Africa and found out some facts about it.
